PLB HIRE – Be Safe in the Outdoors

Planning an adventure in the great outdoors? A Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) is an essential safety device that can save your life. In an emergency—on land or at sea—a PLB instantly alerts Search and Rescue (SAR) services and provides your exact location.

Why PLBs Matter‍

PLBs are monitored by the Cospas-Sarsat satellite system and signals are relayed directly to the New Zealand Rescue Coordination Centre. This means that no matter how remote your location, help can be dispatched quickly and accurately. Carrying a PLB is a simple way to ensure peace of mind for you and your loved ones.

Hire a PLB

• Price: $5 per day or $30 per week
• Collection: Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm at Masterton Trust Lands Trust, 189 Queen Street, Masterton
• Booking: Essential. Fill out the intentions form on the Masterton Trust Lands Trust website to secure your PLB.
